COMMERCIAL GREASE ARRESTORS/TRAPS
Grease arrestors are engineered to collect solid and greasy waste from commercial kitchens to prevent this waste from entering the sewer system. As per your local council and trade waste licence, all grease arrestors are required to be pumped out on a regular basis. The frequency of service ranges from once a month to every six months, this is dependent on the size of the grease arrestor, the type of waste entering the trap and the working capacity of the kitchen. Grease arrestor sizes can vary from 250 to 10,000 litres.
Suttons offers regular services including pumping and hosing out of the arrestor on a set frequency. As
per regulations, reports are submitted to DETSI (Department of the Environmental, Tourism, Science
and Innovation) to ensure the waste is stored, transported, and treated in an appropriate manner. The
waste is taken to a DETSI approved facility where it is biologically treated and composted. Grease
arrestor services are performed outside business hours to avoid any interruption to your kitchen.
